Hidden Inflammations
Hidden inflammations are often challenging to detect and diagnose in daily life. Today’s greatest challenge is managing acute diseases that significantly impact quality of life. According to the World Health Organization (2014), one-third of Europeans and 61% of Americans suffer from at least one chronic illness. In Europe, chronic diseases are responsible for 80% of deaths.
Inflammation is the body’s normal immune response to tissue damage or harmful irritants. It serves as a signal that something is wrong, aiming to focus attention on the affected area, quickly isolate it, and eliminate the cause. For instance, acute inflammation may present with symptoms such as swelling, redness, burning, elevated temperature, sharp pain, and swollen lymph nodes.
Types of Inflammation
There are 2 types of inflammation:
- Acute Inflammation: This type is temporary and often results from infections, illnesses, or viruses (e.g., flu, sore throat), typically lasting up to 6 weeks.
- Chronic Inflammation: This develops over a long period and may go unnoticed until detected under a microscope. It is persistent, potentially lasting months, years, or even a lifetime with episodes of flare-ups and remissions.
Chronic inflammation is caused by ongoing stimuli that trigger the immune response, leading to an increase in white blood cells (cytokines) and prolonged inflammation. Persistent stimuli can further amplify inflammation, causing significant tissue and organ damage.
Signs of Acute Inflammation:
- Sharp pain
- High temperature
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Swelling
- Redness
- Burning sensation
- Loss of function
- Short duration of illness
Signs of Chronic Inflammation:
- Persistent pain with intermittent relief
- Long-term elevated temperature
- Chronic fatigue
- Chronic insomnia
- Obesity
- Red, itchy skin
- Gastrointestinal issues
- Headaches and migraines
- Depression or depressive symptoms
Researchers at the U.S. National Cancer Institute have found that individuals with chronic inflammation are at a higher risk of developing cancer in the affected organ.
Inflammatory Diseases and Causes
Common Acute Inflammatory Diseases:
- Type 2 diabetes
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Arthritis and joint diseases
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases
- Allergies
Chronic inflammation causes:
- Fungi, bacteria, viruses, parasites, protozoa
- Untreated acute inflammation
- Prolonged exposure to chemicals and other harmful substances
- Unhealthy dietary habits
- Chronic stress and poor lifestyle choices
- Environmental pollution
Chronic inflammation can be mitigated by addressing the underlying persistent stimuli.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g., Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, Aspirin) can:
- Suppress the immune system
- Increase the risk of stomach ulcers
- Damage the intestinal lining
- Cause kidney and liver toxicity
Managing Inflammation
To reduce inflammation, consider incorporating herbal anti-inflammatory remedies. Nature offers effective solutions such as curcumin, green tea, boswellia, rosemary, cat’s claw, white willow bark, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, garlic, and pau d’arco.
Recommended Coral Club Products:
- Silver-Max
- Pau d’arco
- Zaferan – curcumin extract
- LaxMax – a blend of various herbs
- Garlic extract
- OpiStop
- Black walnut
- Parafight
- Boswellia – for joint and musculoskeletal support
- Cat’s claw – for immune support
However, relying solely on anti-inflammatory agents is insufficient. Lifestyle and dietary changes are crucial.
1.Increase Water Intake
Proper hydration helps balance pH levels, flush out toxins, and deliver nutrients to cells. Coral-Mine and H-500 (a potent antioxidant) are excellent water additives.
2.Revise Eating Habits
Minimize or eliminate sugar, white flour, yeast-containing products, and alcohol. Substitute sugar with stevia and white flour with whole grains. Many supermarket products are modified and nutrient-depleted, so soak nuts and grains before consumption.
Top recommended products for suspected inflammation: curcumin, berries, dark leafy greens, omega-3 fatty acids (preferably from wild-caught fish), avocados, chia seeds, walnuts, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, and garlic.
3.Exercise
Engage in daily physical activity, such as 20-30 minutes a day or 1 hour 3-4 times a week. However, excessive exercise can also trigger inflammation and acidity. Proper hydration and regular exercise are fundamental for initiating positive changes in the body.
4.Detoxification
Perform regular detoxification at least twice a year, in spring and autumn.
